On Thursday, July 1st we welcome as our guest host, Minister Ronnie Vanderhorst, Motivational Speaker, Author, Trainer, and co-founder of the Washington, D.C. based non-profit organization Prepare Our Youth. After a conversation about his work and interests, we will introduce our special guest, Rev. Dr. Denise Strothers, National Operations Director for Healing Communities. We seek a robust, faced-paced, cogent conversation regarding what it means to be a “healing community,” particularly as the church tackles critical issues such as prisoner re-entry, and sex trafficking. What are the needs we need to address in our community in these areas? How can we as believers—and our churches—truly be part of the transformation process?
