Sanctify
Every life has a story, and every story needs rest.
The first time that the word “Sanctify” is used in the scriptures isn’t in connection with a person, place or thing – instead it is first used in connection with time!“Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made” (Genesis 2:3).
But the reason God set time apart was because He intended to use that time to set us apart! This is called “Sanctification”, and the seventh day was the first tool that God used to set humankind apart from the rest of creation.
It still serves that purpose today – if we’ll let it!
